XBP Global / HGM Ventures / Product & ventures
From enterprise requirements to a working pilot.
I led discovery, solution strategy, design, and commercial validation for white-label FinTech and workflow products, including a Farmers Insurance app taken from concept to pilot.

01 / THE CHALLENGE
The problem
worth solving.
Large enterprise clients needed technology shaped around their own workflows and requirements. The commercial task was to understand the problem, define a credible solution, and demonstrate enough value to earn a pilot before a larger commitment. My focus was FinTech and business process management, alongside AI and data-science opportunities.
02 / THE APPROACH
Strategy, made tangible.
- Work across the HGM Ventures technology portfolio. My enterprise work sat across HGM Ventures, Exela / XBP Global, and Rule14’s analytics capabilities. It combined client-specific solutions with commercial exploration of new markets for existing technology.
- Build the commercial foundation. As a Business Analyst, I supported reports, market research, sales enablement, websites, outbound, and GTM validation. That work developed into direct ownership of enterprise discovery and solution strategy.
- Translate discovery into a solution buyers could assess. As an Enterprise Solutions Consultant, I led demos, RFPs, proposals, and solution narratives for large organizations. The work connected stakeholder requirements to configurable products and practical proofs of concept.
- Lead Farmers Insurance from zero to pilot. I owned the application’s design and logic strategy through the pilot stage, working on a remittance-processing experience. Related enterprise work included Santander and solutions across banking, payments, insurance, and operational workflows.
- Find the next market for existing technology. Alongside client delivery, I evaluated new commercial uses for the technology portfolio, testing customer demand, positioning, and GTM through focused prototypes and market validation before full-scale investment.
03 / THE OUTCOME
Across the XBP Global role, the resume records solution strategy and deployment for more than 20 white-label products, support for six- and seven-figure pilots, and incubation of five B2B ventures. The eight original demos below illustrate the wider product portfolio; my Farmers Insurance work is the specific concept-to-pilot example described here.
04 / THE ORIGINAL WORK
Inside the project.
Eight app walkthroughs, each with its own audience, product context, and design contribution. Together they show how shared technology was shaped around different customer workflows.
Insurance / franchise operators
Farmers — mobile check deposits
A mobile remittance app that lets franchise owners deposit customer checks without a bank visit. The workflow had to handle multiple payment types and route deposits across local, regional, and national accounts.
I led the app from concept to pilot, including interface design, application logic, beta testing, and GTM strategy. The dynamic interface exposed the cost of overcomplicating an early release; that learning helped inform an SDK of repeatable screens for faster delivery.
FinTech / consumer banking
BancMate — an integrated financial app
A single interface for multiple bank accounts, budgeting, expense reporting, money transfers, check deposits, and mobile and Bitcoin wallets. The concept brought existing capabilities together into a broader personal-finance proposition.
This was my first project leading product development. I managed cross-functional work and designed how a wide range of financial functions could fit into one intuitive experience.
Communications / collaboration
Teletype — messaging, voice, and video
A messaging application designed around secure text conversations, calls, and video chat. The product exploration focused on making several modes of communication feel like one coherent experience.
I explored a minimal interface using generous white space, depth, and shadows, drawing on Material Design to make the communication experience easier to navigate.
FinTech / enterprise accounts payable
BancPay — mobile invoice approvals
An approval workflow for reviewing invoices, adding comments, approving or declining requests, and forwarding an invoice to the next approver. It was designed to connect with the client’s existing backend system.
I translated a dense invoice into a small-screen experience, retaining familiar document cues while designing the review and handoff flow for easier adoption.
Healthcare / members, payers, providers, brokers, employers
Spring — healthcare enrollment and servicing
An end-to-end platform spanning enrollment and ongoing account servicing, from an initial quote through issuance of a member card. The proposition connects the different participants in the health-insurance journey.
This walkthrough represents the healthcare side of the enterprise portfolio. It shows the product context for connecting a multi-party service journey in a mobile experience.
Insurance / agents handling customer payments
Insurance Agent — check allocation and batch deposits
A mobile check-processing experience intended to remove an agent’s end-of-day bank trip. It accommodates individual or multiple checks, allocation of specific amounts across accounts, and bulk processing using BancMate technology.
I designed a layered card interface with shadows to make a complex allocation workflow feel tangible and intuitive. The challenge was balancing payment flexibility with a clear, manageable sequence of actions.
Enterprise ecommerce / agents ordering company merchandise
Company Gear — branded merchandise ordering
A branded shopping experience that lets a company’s agents order the gear they need. Checkout requirements included a donation option, pay-later functionality, PayPal, and Bitcoin transactions.
I designed a clean shopping interface with white space and a straightforward ordering journey, working through the added complexity of multiple payment and checkout options.
HOA / community management
HOA — original product walkthrough
An original narrated HOA app demo from the enterprise portfolio. The recording is preserved here as a product walkthrough.
The original Notion entry includes the demo but leaves the project scope, challenges, and takeaways blank. A fuller case narrative is pending those details.
